Profile

As the Asia Pacific (AP) IT Leader supporting Human Health, Lawrence is accountable for setting and executing  IT strategies to support the region. Focusing on the company’s digital transformation agenda, he manages all IT systems and leads technology-driven programs thathelp augment commercial capabilities and provide insights to MSD, further improving the company’s engagement with customers and patients.

Prior to this role, Lawrence co-led the Integrated Customer engagement practice for Asia Pacific, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Middle East Africa regions, working with senior andfunctional leaders to set the strategy for Customer Engagement at  the emerging marketsand sub-regional level. He was also the IT Cluster lead for South East Asia countries where he led the transformation of a new country IT model.

A New Zealand native from Auckland, Lawrence currently lives in Singapore with his family and is a father of two beautiful daughters. Prior to that he lived in Sydney, Australia for six  years.

Lawrence is passionate about unleashing potential in people and actively mentors young people and senior leaders, both in MSD and externally.

He has a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Engineering (Honours) from Massey University, New Zealand and is currently pursuing a qualification on Digital Strategies from Emeritus Institute through Columbia Business School and MIT Sloan School of Management.
